Our names are Steve and Kara. I am 55 and Kara is 36. We live in Phoenix, AZ. We do not have any children living with us. Kara cannot have children any longer, yet wants to hear the patter of little feet around the house.

We are survivalists, who believe that the government is our enemy. We believe in natural healing and try to eat only natural foods, though with the rapidly escalating costs of food and gas, this is becoming harder. We believe that America’s problems, while orchestrated by the global elite, are caused by our moral decay. This is the same moral decay that caused Yahweh to allow the kingdoms of Israel and Judah to go into captivity. Because of their decent into idolatry, the ten tribes of Judah are still scattered and forgotten. America, with its thirst for witchcraft and New Age religion has descended into this same idolatry. We recognize that this is a part of the latter stages of the end times that will result in the destruction of America.

Not long ago, and after much prayer, thought, and discussion, we broke with the LDS Church---primarily in the interest of pursuing a polygamist lifestyle. In the early days of the Web, Brian built sites for entire newspapers and magazines and built internet curriculum sites for universities. It is always gratifying to him to see how someone has found simple elegance in designing and advancing their ideas.

It was interesting to read of your correspondence with Don McKay. Long before Brian was able to consider polygamy as a viable pursuit, he used to visit with Don and "his" at 3coins.com. Don was a great inspiration to him. Don once posted something Brian said to him as the lead to his web site:

Polygamy is not about a man being a collector of women; it is about women, living together in love and sharing, as sisters and friends, being supported and upheld by a good and generous man whom they love and who loves them more than life itself. Polygamy is about love, not numbers---love defined by the innocence and trust of children.

This is our credo today and will be forever. We wish that the entire world understood such an idea. Even the world of polygamists, many of whom unfortunately fall short of this kind of ideal.

Our names are John and Alisha. We live in Fort Collins, Colorado with our children. We have a family of 4 with one on the way. John is 33 and I am 29. We adopted our nieces about a year ago now and are so glad that they can be a part of our lives.

The Sister wife idea is a new one to us. We have talked about it for awhile now and have decided it is the correct path for us to take. We love kids and like the idea of a big family. Our family consists of Kayleigh (16), Tamra (14), Grace (8), Noah (2) and the baby on board (we just found out a couple weeks ago) is going to be a girl!! We also have a Doberman 'Dante' who will be a year old in October.

John is a regional manager and works very hard to provide for our family, I am a stay-at-home mom and enjoy every minute of it!! The oldest two girls have been with us now for almost a year and are doing very well in school. Kayleigh is a junior in high school and Tamra is in 9th grade. Grace is in 2nd grade. We decided to bring the girls home with us because their family life was basically non-existent.

My brother-in-law and their mother divorced and she remarried, then shortly after, her new husband passed away due to an infection around his heart. After that their mother had a nervous breakdown, got into drugs and could no longer take care of them. Instead of allowing them to go to a foster home we jumped at the chance to add them to our family.

We are all about being honest and upfront from the get go about everything. I guess I am personally very interested in having a sister-wife for the companionship, someone to talk to and just hang out with. Sometimes it gets lonely with John occasionally working long hours. He works hard but likes to play hard too.

We have alot of fun living so close to the mountains. W e like to go skiing\snowboarding, hiking, camping, biking and last summer we even attempted river-rafting! John likes to cook, he is very good at it!!!!! He likes photography, reading, martial arts ( he holds a black belt in Chinese Kenpo, and a brown belt in Taekwondo). Also likes to teach the kids martial arts. Grace really loves it!

John is going back to school to get his law degree. His goal is to become an attorney. I enjoy working out at the gym, swimming, playing with the kids, going for long walks, biking, and just being outdoors. It is so beautiful here in Colorado!!

About me.  I am almost 6 foot tall, educated, and literate in computer, people, and cultures.  I am kind hearted, peaceful, even tempered, and but the only time my temper will flare is when I see someone else hurt or abused.  I am protective, but know when to back off and give space.  I believe in free will, 100%, in every situation where it is good... but also believe in total submission when the situation calls for it (danger is about the only time this comes into play).  I am trustworthy, reliable, and eager to open doors for any lady with me... be that doors for education, better living situations, or self exploration.  Women are treasures that develop over time with the right developer... they take form slowly and with much care, into the kind of woman that everyone speaks well of and the woman herself can be proud of.

 

I believe in structure.  I write about it, explore it, and understand it.  Where there is structure, arguments are few and far between.  Where there is structure, there is also a place of safety and security where both me and the lady know their responsibilities, and life is fulfilling and rich.  I make it sound like it is a rigid military thing, but in fact, it is simply a way to live in harmony and peace.... while reaping the rewards and satisfaction of knowing a job well done.

 

I am not a party animal, don't drink, don't smoke, have two cars, own my own house, and the respect in my community.  I am not given to anger, nor do I wish to be with someone that wants to fight all of the time... I tried that, it does not work.  If you feel your life is cold and lonely, being with me will be a shock.  I am outgoing, experience life in handfuls, and am very interested in outdoor things (except mosquitoes, well, also except fire ants, don't really like those two things... bears... don't like bears either, not if their hungry and I start to look good and crunchy...) well, anyway, I like nearly everything and am out in the world as often as I can.

Although both of us are Christians, we are not specifically pursuing polygamy for religious purposes. Both of us believe that we believers should strive to the highest Christian ideal, but that at the same time recognize that we often miss the mark and that is where grace comes in!!

We both believe strongly in commitment, respect and loyalty and that marriage is a sacred covenant before God that should be honored "Til death do us part." (Isn't it sad that phrase sounds so old-fashioned nowdays??) :-) Basically, we want polygamy for the same reason that many people get married - because they want someone else to share their life - for better or worse!!
